The visitors returned to winning ways after two succesive defeats by beating their local rivals in a Teejac Gwynedd League fixture on Tuesday evening. On the balance of play they probably deserved the win for they dominated the first period and went ahead when Gareth Roberts scored on 25 minutes. An injury to goalkeeper Peter Jones meant that Stephen Jones took over in goal for the Amateurs after the break and he made some fine saves but had no chance when Port equalised on 64 minutes. With just 6 minutes left Ceri Roberts popped up with the winner though the home team were claiming he was offside but the goal stood. So that is the end of the Amateurs away league fixtures and they haven't been beaten on their travels in the league and between now and the end of the season they have 7 home matches to play to hopefully clinch the Gwynedd League Championship. Bethel are the visitors to Cae Clyd on Saturday in the Gwynedd Cup with Llanstumdwy there on Monday in the Presidents Cup both ties at the semi final stage.
