BLAENAU AMATEURS 1 PWLLHELI 5
The home side had no complaints of the outcome of this Welsh Alliance clash as Pwllheli dominated throughout and fully deserved the result of their good all round performance. One could say that the home side missed the defending of Neil Reynolds as three of Pwllheli's goals came from crosses but Pwllheli too had players missing. It stayed goalless until the 27 minutes when the ever dangerous Gwyn Jones headed in a Darren Thomas cross with the latter making it 2-0 eight minutes later with a spectacular shot. Up to the break the home side hadn't trobled Ian Akman in the visitors goal and things got worse when the impressive and my man of the match Adam Hall headed in a corner kick on 52 minutes for 3-0. Keiron Ellis had half a chance for the home side but shot wide before Hall converted another set piece heading in a free kick for 4-0 just after the hour mark. Pwllheli kept up the pressure though three substitutions by the home side did see a little improvement in their play. The best goal of the match came on 82 minutes when Pwllheli's Ben Oligvy let fly from just inside the Blaeanu half the ball ending up in the net just under the bar with home keeper Aron Threadgill beaten. In the last few minutes the home side had two effort blocked on the line before Gareth Roberts with a solo efort netted their consolation goal in injury time.
